A reversal is the refund or cancellation of a previously made transaction. In this case, there are reversal stages for one of the transactions recorded in the account that you can monitor. There are 2 types of reversals on the Virtual Corporate Card: Full Reversal and Partial Reversal. For more details, please follow the tutorial below.
A. Full Reversal without Submitted Receipt
Log in to your Mekari Expense account and select the Transactions menu.
Then select the “Cards” tab.
Next, choose a transaction with the status ‘Completed’.
A new transaction will appear with the transaction type ‘Credit’. This transaction is a reversal of the original transaction previously made. Click “Previous transaction” if you want to see the details of the previous transaction.
Below is the display of the previous transaction that has the status ‘Completed’.
- In this case, you do not need to Submit a receipt in the system because there is no transaction involved, so the refund to your account is done in full.
- The transaction type before the reversal is called Debit.
B. Partial Reversal without Submitted Receipt
On the Card page, select a transaction with the status ‘Awaiting receipt’.
A new transaction will appear with the transaction type ‘Credit’. This transaction has undergone a reversal from the original transaction previously made. Click “Previous transaction” if you want to view the details of the previous transaction. Since this is a partial transaction and there is a Receipt, after the reversal, you need to resubmit the Receipt.
You can see the amount of the partial transaction in the Amount data.
Then on the original transaction page, click “Submit report” to send the Original Transaction (initial transaction).

Select a Category, upload the Receipt, and add a Note (Optional). Then click “Approve & submit”.
Next, the Category will appear on the Cards index page. Then click the Transaction ID with that Category.
You will be directed to the following page. Resubmit the report for the partial transaction. Click “Submit report” to continue.
On this page, the ‘Previous transaction’ button appears after you have made the first Submit report (refer back to the explanation in point 3 in section C. Partial Reversal with Report).
Then upload the Receipt again and add a Note. At this point, you cannot select the Category again. If all data is filled out, click “Approve & Submit”.
The transaction status will then change to ‘Approved’.
C. Partial Reversal with Submitted Receipt
On the Card page, select a transaction with the status ‘Awaiting review’.
A new transaction will appear with the transaction type ‘Credit’. This transaction has undergone a reversal from the original transaction previously made. Click “Previous transaction” if you want to view the details of the previous transaction. Since the Receipt was already submitted with the previous transaction and that transaction has undergone reversal, you need to wait for Approval from the Approver to approve the transaction.
You can see the amount of the partial transaction in the Amount data.
Then on the following page, click “Submit report” to send the Original Transaction (initial transaction).

Select a Category, upload the Receipt, and add a Note (Optional). Then click “Approve & submit”.
Next, the Category will appear on the Cards index page. Then click the Transaction ID with that Category.
You will be directed to the following page. Resubmit the report for the partial transaction. Click “Submit report” to continue.
On this page, the ‘Previous transaction’ button appears after you have made the first Submit report (refer back to the explanation in point 3 in section C. Partial Reversal with Report).
Then upload the Receipt again and add a Note. At this point, you cannot select the Category again. If all data is filled out, click “Approve & Submit”.
After the system completes the reversal, the status will change to ‘Awaiting review’. Click “Previous transaction” to view the previous transaction.
You will be directed to the following page.
Once your transaction is approved, the status will change to Approved. Here, you can proceed to Submit report.
Select a Category, upload the Receipt, and add a Note (Optional). Then click “Approve & submit”.
